The best previews of San Diego Comic-Con 2022: Black Panther, John Wick and more

Comic-Con is a hectic event, and that’s true even if you’re just trying to follow it from home. There are so many boards and ads that it can be difficult to see everything. That was definitely true of this year’s edition. Despite some notable absences, there was no real news on Breaking off season 2sadly, it still included everything from a reveal to the Dungeons and Dragons movie for a deeper look at the Amazon version Lord of the Rings. we also have some Star Wars foundry news, information about the animated marvel board, Phase 5 schedule (and Phase 6!) from the UCM, confirmation of a new Reckless Serieand oh so many zombies.

But the funniest part is the trailers, and we’ve rounded up the best ones here to get you up to speed.

john wick 4

Mr. Wick is back for a fourth chance, and the first trailer for john wick 4 (or possibly alone John Wickโ€” the title is unclear) shows that the professional hit man has not missed a step. However, he will have to wait a while to see it, as he won’t be out until March 2023. In other Keanu Reeves news, Netflix also confirmed that the production of the anime of two seasons BRZRKRstarring Reeves, has started at the famous anime studio Production IG.

Shazam! fury of the gods

Possibly the dumbest superhero blockbuster returns with fury of the godswhich has a wonderful new villain and is expected to hit theaters in time for Christmas.

Elsewhere in the DC Universe, we also got a glimpse of black adam, starring Dwayne Johnson as a being “with the almighty powers of the old gods” who has to choose whether to use them for good or evil. (He seems to choose evil). It will hit theaters on October 21.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power

Amazon can’t stop showing off its big-budget take on Middle-earth, and the SDCC trailer dives into both the beautiful sights and dark battles in the latest Lord of the Rings adaptation. The series will debut on Prime Video in September.

Marvel kicked off their live action presentation with a longer look at she-hulkhis next big MCU series, which looks to bring a more light-hearted tone to the MCU when it hits Disney Plus on August 17.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Perhaps the most moving trailer of all of this year’s Comic-Con was the first look at Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which will hit theaters in November. The first clip from the film features a debut look at Atlantis and a sneak peek at the upcoming Black Panther.

Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

the d&d The universe takes on some star power in the first trailer for honor among thieves. The clip has a lot d&d basics and at least it looks like everyone is having a lot of fun. It will be in theaters next March.

Star Trek: Picard

There was a lot of news about star trek at Comic Con. In addition to a new trailer full of nostalgia for season 3 of Picardwe also learned of a surprise crossover between strange new worlds Y lower covers.

National Treasure: Edge of History

A sneak peek in the strongest sense of the word, our first look at the National Treasure spinoff in disney more it’s mainly a chance to see new star Lisette Olivera in costume. The series does not have a premiere date, but it is expected to come out “soon”.

Teen Wolf: The Movie

the teen wolf The movie picks up where the 2011 series left off, and while it doesn’t yet have a release date, it’s expected to start streaming on Paramount Plus early.

This technically debuted just before Comic-Con, but it’s still worth rewatching, if only to catch a glimpse of those blonde wigs. the series is coming hbo in August.

The Sandman

Netflix showed off our best look yet at The Sandman, the streaming service’s ambitious adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s iconic graphic novel. The series begins airing on August 5.

Groot may not have much to say, but he’ll still be starring in a series of five animated shorts, coming to disney more on August 10, and the first trailer for the collection debuted at SDCC.

Marvel’s Moon Girl and the Devil Dinosaur

Marvel showed off the first proper look at the lovable Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaurwhich is scheduled to hit Disney Channel and disney more sometime in 2023.

still another Living Dead the show staggers our way: the tales of the walking dead follows six different characters through the land of the walking dead and premieres on AMC on August 14. AMC showed their version of Anne Rice Interview with the Vampire, a new series starring Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Bailey Bass and Eric Bogosian. It opens on October 2.

Watch

The third (and finally) season Apple TV Plus’ Watch It’s coming next month, and the Comic-Con trailer focuses on a devastating new weapon that could completely shape your post-apocalyptic future. Season 3 begins airing on August 26.
