prince william Y Kate MiddletonThe upcoming tour of the United States is probably one of the most anticipated royal events in the second half of 2022. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will cross the pond and arrive in Boston this December for this year’s Earthshot Award, celebrating ingenuity in the fight against climate change. Since the initiative’s inception, Prince William has garnered support from the United States, including from a prominent American family, arguably even ‘royal’, with whom the Cambridges will collaborate during their stay in Boston this winter.
Upon arrival in Boston, William and Kate are likely to receive a warm welcome from the family of the late President John F. Kennedy, especially his only grandsonJack Schlossberg. the Caroline Kennedy’s 29-year-old sonSchlossberg has been a vocal supporter of Prince William’s Earthshot Award. In fact, in the last week, Scholssberg tweeted: “Earth shot baby!” above an advertisement for the JFK Library, which read: “The JFK Library Foundation is proud to be the host partner along with [Mayor Michelle Wu] Y [the City of Boston] For him [Earthshot Prize]celebrating extraordinary solutions to repair our planet from all over the world.”

Just an hour later, Schlossberg tweeted with a quote the video of the official Earthshot Prize announcement revealing the location of the upcoming awards ceremony. Clearly Schlossberg, whose grandfather pioneered the Moonshot initiative during his presidency in the early 1960s, is a fan of William’s efforts and the inspiration behind the cause. We wouldn’t be at all surprised if Schlossberg turned up at one of the Earthshot Prize events this winter.

It would be amazing to see the combination of Prince William, Kate Middleton, and potentially Jack Schlossberg on the world stage. Without a doubt, this is the beginning of a new partnership that will last for many years. After all, we can’t help but get the picture out of our minds of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip greet President Kennedy and First Lady Jackie Kennedy back in 1961. More than 60 years later, what a sight it would be to see the late president and the grandchildren of the reigning queen unite for a vital cause.
