Inside Greg Norman’s scaled-down $12.2 million mega mansion in Florida

After 30 years living on an 8.3-acre property in Florida, Greg Norman and his wife, Kiki, have downsized another property in the Palm Beach area.

But the word “reduced” might not exactly fit the golf legend’s new rig, which he bought last April for $12.2 million, records show.

While it’s significantly cheaper than his last home, which he sold around the same time for a whopping $55.1 million, Norman’s new home sits on 2 acres of land and encompasses more than 11,800 square feet.

By comparison, Norman, known as the Great White Shark of professional golf, spent nearly 15 years building his latest resort, which featured a massive 32,000-square-foot main house. He later he sold it to the family of billionaire Leslie Wexner β€” the founder and former CEO of L Brand.

Although possible plans to move to his native Australia were previously discussed, it appears that Norman will be sticking with this newly purchased home, located in the exclusive neighborhood of Old Palm Golf Club, for now.

And the amenities are endless.

Previously described as having a “hidden resort feel,” the property features an oversized pool, summer kitchen, swim-up bar, cabanas and lounge areas throughout, a tennis court , a club room, a movie theater and a private guest house.

Composed of six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, the property boasts golf and lake views. There is also a gourmet kitchen with a butler’s pantry and an office with wood finishes and a fireplace.

The previous owners were former casino president Joseph A. Lashinger and Julie A. Lashinger.

Robert Thomson of Waterfront Properties and Club Communities carried out the listing.

β€œMy wife and I feel like it’s time to move on after 30 years here,” Norman previously said. he told the Miami Herald. β€œCOVID-19 and the whole experience of the pandemic, with the social distancing and isolation of our families, most of whom live abroad, last year made us realize how short life really is and made us reassess how and where. we want to spend the rest of our lives.”

Norman, 67, too sold his Colorado ranch last year for a whopping $40 million.
