Chappelle, 48, stunned the crowd at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night when he dropped in unannounced to perform alongside Rock, 57, and Hart, 43, during their comedic double act.

“Last night was by far the best moment of my career… I can’t even explain it… I can’t find the words…” Hart wrote on his account. Instagram page along with photos of the trio on stage. “I just know that last night was the true definition of an ‘EPIC NIGHT’… I love my brothers more than words can explain.”

Chappelle took the stage over the weekend without any performance while smoking a cigarette, according to the hollywood reporter.

“I had to sneak in here,” he said to applause from the crowd.

The controversial comedian previously made headlines on Wednesday after one of his comedy shows. was transferred to another place in Minneapolis after a public backlash.

“Despite what you may have read in the news, I’m fine and I appreciate the support,” Chappelle said.

Chappelle also poked fun at the incident at the Hollywood Bowl in May when he was thrown to the ground by an assistant while performing. He blamed his bodyguards for “wearing dress shoes” and “slipping around like in a bowling alley.”

The comedian also noted that Rock’s joke, “Was that Will Smith?” and his follow-up response, “That was a trans man,” created “another two-day news cycle.” (At this year’s Academy Awards, Smith, 53, slapped Rock on live TV after he made a joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smithshaved head. Chappelle also expressed disapproval of some media outlets describing the attack as “alleged” after the fight was captured on video. He shared his wishes that the attacker catches monkeypox in jail, saying, “It’s not like he should die, but he should have itchy ass for four to six weeks.”

Rock and Hart also continued the night with their own sets. Both comedians mentioned Smith multiple times throughout their performances, with Rock commenting on “cancel culture” and sharing, “Anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face,” according to THR.

Chappelle, Rock, and Hart later appeared onstage together at the end of the show to express their gratitude to each other. Hart even brought a gift for Rock, a goat with gold chains, after he called it the greatest of all time, also known as the GOAT.

Wrapping up the show with a brotherly sentiment, Chappelle shared that comedians have a bond that only others in their field can understand.

“When my brothers call, I come running,” he said.
