Four More Shots Please revolves around four women whose lives are a complete mess, but their friendship helps them survive the chaos. Sayani plays prominent journalist Damini Rizvi Roy (affectionately known as Dee), while Kirti Kulhari is Anjali Menon, a lawyer and single mother. Maanvi Gaagroo plays Sidhi Patel, the girl from a wealthy and domineering family who receives a continuous barrage about her weight and her marriage. Bani Judge plays the brash Umang. The show has received mixed responses from critics, with many calling it rather fragmented and banal. However, many have enjoyed the purely ‘scandalous’ nature of the show, saying it is the first time women have been shown in such a realistic way. The show has received a 7.1 rating on IMDB.
Season 1
We are introduced to the four girls, Umang, Damini, Anjana and Siddhi, all different in their own way, but united by friendship. While Damini struggles to reveal the real truth as a fierce investigative journalist, Siddhi is under pressure from her mother to find the perfect man and be ‘size zero’. On the other hand, Anjana must come to terms with the fact that her ex-husband is in love with someone else, while Umang’s anger issues get the better of her. With car accidents, rushed hospital visits, broken engagements, and heartbreak everywhere, Season 1 ends with a big fight.
Season 2
In season 2, a frantic phone call from Siddhi in Istanbul brings them together again and they swear eternal friendship from the top of the Galata Tower, while showing their love through the streets of the Turkish city. In Season 2, Anjana, who is now in a new relationship, battles workplace sexism and gives up rage, and while Siddhi is now trying her hand at stand-up comedy, while Umang is still is trying to recover from heartbreak. Damini is working on a book. Girls will never get it right, but at this point, they really don’t care.
Four More Shots Please Season 3: What to Expect
While details about Season 3 are still slim, we know there are plenty of exotic European locations to be enjoyed. The little teaser tells us that Milind Soman’s dashing gynecologist character continues to make moves on Damini, and we can even expect plenty of mayhem from Shibani Sushmita. However, the biggest problems seem to be between Umang and Lisa Ray’s wedding photo shoot in Samara: Umang seems to be quite uncomfortable with this new life. So, we can expect more drama and the resulting chaos.
