Back to reality.
After her luxury trip to Hawaii, Erika Jayne received the documents for a $50 million racketeering lawsuit when she returned to Los Angeles on Friday night.
In exclusive footage obtained by Page Six, the 51-year-old “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star was seen leaving Los Angeles International Airport when a woman approached her and handed her two thick stacks of documents.
A representative for Jayne did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Jayne, who was approached in baggage claim, was dressed casually for her flight back to Los Angeles, sporting white sweatpants and a matching zip-up sweatshirt.
The “Pretty Mess” singer looked fresh-faced with her hair styled into a tight top knot and a white face mask to protect her from COVID-19. She completed her look with white sneakers and a Gucci duffel bag.
“I just wanted to give you these documents. This is a summons and complaint to serve you,” the woman said in a video obtained by Page Six.
The lawsuit, filed by Edelson PC, charges Jayne with nine counts including racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, unlawful business practices, and deception, among others, in connection with the ongoing legal drama involving ex-husband Tom Girardi.
“Tom and Erika routinely misappropriated money from client settlements to project an image of wealth and prop up a lifestyle made for reality TV,” the lawsuit states.
The lawsuit also alleges that Jayne’s EJ Global company “was created for the purpose of funneling money from Girardi Keese to benefit Erika.”
In addition, Edelson PC claims in court documents that Jayne was aware of Girardi’s “plan,” which allegedly embezzled settlement funds intended to help the victims of Lion Air Flight 610.
The doctors accuse Jayne of “flaunting[ing]” her lavish lifestyle and “acting as the ‘leader’ of the operation, selling to the world (including unsuspecting customers) that Girardi Keese was a success”.
What Previously reported page six, there was a separate but related case filed by Edelson regarding racketeering allegations in April. Jayne was dismissed from the earlier lawsuit.
However, Jay Edelson clarified to Page Six that this case is “processing the claims of the clients (the widows and the orphans),” while the April lawsuit was “more limited, in terms of who we sued, what we sued about. and the legal theories we pursue.”
“As we allege, we believe we can prove to a jury that the Girardi firm was, and has long been, a criminal enterprise,” Edelson told us by email.
For his part, the reality TV star has vehemently said kept his innocence On more than one occasion.
“I feel terrible. This is not who I am,” Jayne said during the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season 11 reunion in October 2021.
“And I hope this is not who he is. … I hope that [Tom] He has not done what is alleged here.”
Before receiving the new paperwork, Jayne enjoyed a tropical vacation in Hawaii with Rinna and “RHOBH” newcomer Diana Jenkins.
The ladies were photographed at one point enjoying bubbly rosé wine while deep in conversation outside their villa.
In another photo, Jayne looked upset as she let out an angry expression and raised her hands as she chatted with her co-stars.
It is unclear what the two were discussing at the time.
During last week’s episode of “RHOBH,” Jayne told her co-stars that she was in no rush to get a divorce from the 83-year-old Girardi.
She argued that staying married to the attorney prevents her from having to write alimony checks.
“It’s ironic, but if I divorced Tom, I’d have to pay him alimony,” Jayne said in a confessional before adding with a laugh: “I’ll stay married, thank you.”
Jayne also argued that she could not “get a divorce at this time” amid her and Girardi’s legal and financial troubles.
“I am legally separated, so my life has moved on and everything is separate. But I can’t get a divorce now. There are so many legal things going on,” she said.
“It’s a weird time and I’m really ready for it to end.”
