Fans cheered as country music duo Florida Georgia Line took the stage at Iowa Speedway on Saturday, Tyler Hubbard donning his baseball cap and Brian Kelley in a cowboy hat, kicking off their show with the hit song “Round Here.” “.
The band played at 5:30 pm on the Saturday after the Hy-VeeDeals.com 250 presented by DoorDash. Florida Georgia Line, known for songs like “Cruise,” “This is How We Roll” and “HOLY,” was last in Iowa for a performance on the Iowa State Fair Grandstand in 2018.
The duo kept the crowd’s energy going with “Up Down,” followed by the song “I Love My Country,” which they dedicated to Iowa. Next in line were “That’s How We Roll” and “God, Your Mom and I “.
When Hubbard stopped for drinks between songs, he joked with the crowd about the contents of his glass.
“Bud Light: I don’t know if that counts as hydration, but I think it does,” Hubbard said.

Florida Georgia Line continued the show with “Smooth”. As they began to sing “HOLY,” a piano-driven love ballad, the couples danced and hugged in the crowd.
“We’ve been to Iowa several times and there are such special people here,” Hubbard told the crowd. “So much heart, so much energy.”
The band continued the show with “Long Live”, “Stay”, “May We All”, “Sippin’ on Fire” and “Dirt”.
“We’re a couple of country boys from Florida and Georgia,” Hubbard told the crowd between songs. “We never thought we’d be hanging out with you guys in Iowa.”

During the song “Confession,” Kelley walked offstage and shook hands with audience members near the front.
The duo played “Anything Goes”, “Simple” and “Get Your Shine On” before Hubbard stopped the show to acknowledge a woman in the crowd who had been holding up a cowboy boot hoping the band would sign it. .
“This girl here, she’s been holding her boot the whole show. Your arm must be tired, but you’re amazing, let’s do it,” Hubbard said, taking the boot and marker. “I’m going to need another Sharpie, this one is dry as a bone.”
Another marker materialized, and the duo signed the boot and returned it to the woman as Hubbard said, “Hey, get him a beer. And get me one. Get us all one.”
They resumed the show with “Meant to Be” and “Lil Bit,” before ending the night with the fan-favorite “Cruise.” The crowd jumped, clapped and sang as the duo played their latest song.
“Iowa, we love you all, thank you so much,” Hubbard said as the two left the stage.

Florida Georgia Line was formed in 2010 by Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley. His 2012 debut single “Cruise” was downloaded more than seven million times, making it the first country song to receive Diamond certification.
Florida Georgia Line released their fifth studio album, “Life Rolls On”, in February 2021, the duo’s last project before announced that he would take a break to pursue their solo careers.
The IndyCar performance was one of the few tour dates that Florida Georgia Line promised to finish before the band’s break.
Hubbard and Kelley released solo projects last year. Hubbard was a featured artist on various tracksincluding Tim McGraw’s “Undivided,” Lathan Warlick’s “My Way” and Nelly’s “Country Boy Do.”
Kelley released his debut solo album, “Sunshine State of Mind”, with 17 tracks, including its first single, “Beach Cowboy”. This year, Kelley announced his first solo tourthe “Hecho por el agua” tour, in support of the album.
